You heard right! Minecraft 1.2.5 has been officially released to everyone! The update includes several small fixes. You can read more about it below.
What’s in Minecraft 1.2.5?
[April 4, 2012] Minecraft 1.2.5 consists of several bug fixes. that’s pretty much it really. Unfortunately, the Modding API was not included. however, that might come in different update, such as 1.3. anyways, here’s a partial list of the changes:- Shift clicking is now available in furnaces. This is where you hold the shift key and click on items.
- The ocelot AI has been improved.
- The chat in multiplayer has also been improved.
- punching a TNT block (left clicking) with flint and steel in your hand will now just destroy the TNT block. You will now have to set the TNT block on fire (right-click) with flint and steel in order to activate it. you can still activate the TNT with Redstone if you so desire.
In order to update your Minecraft, just open up your Minecraft launcher and click “force update” and you’re all set! Keep in mind though, that 1.2.4 mods will not be compatible anymore, and you will need way for the mod you want to be updated to 1.2.5. Have fun!
